Hello, my name is Mellisa. I joined the Vaughn Family Dentistry team in 2005 and have worked in the dental field for over 8 years.
When I am not at work I enjoy shopping or spending family time with my husband and our energetic dogs, Rockie and Maximus. I also like to read or spend time outdoors.
I enjoy working with the talented team at Vaughn Family Dentistry. Our staff is fun to work with and the doctors are professional and caring.
Katie — Hygiene Coordinator
Hi! My name is Katie. I have been part of Vaughn Family Dentistry since January 2007. I enjoy working with everyone here and feel I made a great career change by coming to this office. I am married to my high school sweetheart. In our spare time we enjoy going out to dinner, watching reality TV, and playing with our two fluffy kittens—Mickey and Joey.
Shannon — Doctors Coordinator
Hi, my name is Shannon. I have been with Vaughn Family Dentistry for 5 years. I have 3 children—11- and 7-year-old girls and a 2½-year-old boy—who take up almost all of my time. We love going to the beach and doing any outdoor activities.

Hi! my name in Ashley. I have been part of the Vaughn Family Dentistry team since April 2008 and I enjoy working with such a wonderful team. in my spare tim I enjoy watching movies, going shopping and spending time with friends and family.

Joann — Dental Hygienist
Hello, my name is Joann. I have been a dental hygienist for 31 years and joined this practice 19 years ago. It is extended family. I am blessed to work for a group that is committed to offering the best to our patients with cutting edge technology, expert dentistry and continuing education. I graduated from Fones Dental Hygiene School with an A.S. degree in Dental Hygiene and the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1978. I am the proud mother of two beautiful children, Jianine and Nicholas. I enjoy activities such as cooking, gardening, swimming, and family gatherings.
Carole — Dental Hygienist
Welcome! I'm Carole. When I am not enjoying my four daughters and four sons-in-law, adventures with my seven grandchildren, friends and traveling, I am enjoying my other full time job as a hygienist.
I began my dental career as an assistant for a periodontist. With his encouragement, I returned to school as an adult learner and received my degree as a registered dental hygienist (RDH) from the Fones Dental School of Bridgeport. I have been practicing dental hygiene for 17 years.
It has been a very rewarding career change and practicing at Vaughn Family Dentistry reinforces the feeling of "family".
Laureen — Dental Hygienist
Hi, my name is Laurie. I have been a registered dental hygienist for almost 30 years. My father was a dentist so I have been involved in dentistry most of my life. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Vaughn since the start of his dental career. My children are grown, so I enjoy traveling as much as possible with my family.

Hi, my name is Susan. I've been a dental assistant for 24 years. When I'm not at work I'm at home with my husband, Yvon, and our three dogs. We also have a home in Quebec where we snowmobile and enjoy playing outside.

Jenith — Dental Assistant
Hi, my name is Jenith. I have been assisting here at Vaughn Family Dentistry for over a year. Before working here in Connecticut I assisted Dr. Rubenstein in his Florida office and continue to have the pleasure of assisting him here at our office. When not at work I'm busy with my two boys, ages 2½ and 17 months. I also attend class at Housatonic Community College. I lead a busy life but a happy one with everyone around me.
